Everyone dreads walking that first class aisle - seeing the perks passengers experience when they purchase a ticket.
But on a flight from to California, passengers got a pleasant surprise when they saw a mini service horse in the first class section of the flight.
The horse named Fred, who happens to have his own Facebook page, was travelling from Grand Rapids in Michigan with a connecting flight in Dallas, before landing in Ontario in California, The Sun reported.
Ronia Froese wanted Fred’s trip to be comfortable and did not mind splurging for the first class tickets.
She told the publication: “I paid an arm and a leg for tickets, but I did so because it was Fred’s first time and I wanted him to be comfortable. I wanted him to have the most room."
Fred, a miniature horse the assists his handler Ronica, is currently directive retrieval trained. Ronia made him dress the part in a blue coloured outfit and signs that indicate that he is a service dog.
Ronia shared the experience on Fred’s Facebook page.
In a video of Fred resting on her leg, she posted: “ What do you do on a long BORING flight after a jam-packed busy California vacation take a nap and use your Mommy's leg as a pillow.”
In another, Fred was snapped with the pilot.
“So excited to receive this photo. This was one of our American Airlines pilots. How cute are they together. I'm so glad I pick American Airlines because it was a great experience and everyone was so kind. They fly the Mid-Michigan Honor Flight so that's why I picked them,” was the caption alongside the post.
