London - At £378 000 (about R6.4-million), it costs almost twice as much as the average English house.

But this home, with its underfloor heating, a panoramic roof and a spacious double bed, also comes with wheels. It’s the motorhome for the super-rich – and will require a driver with a knack for parking heavy goods vehicles.

In fact, it’s so enormous that its manufacturers have decided to brand it a Liner – though they were probably not thinking of the Titanic when they came up with the name.

Its luxurious fittings and huge price tag have attracted so-called A-listers with money to burn.

The 35ft-long (about 10.6m) Morelo Empire Liner has a well-equipped kitchen – perfect for whipping up a feast on a caravan park “staycation” – and a high-end bathroom equipped with a rain shower to ease the discomfort on camping trips.

Described by some as the “Lamborghini of the leisure vehicle world”, the motorhome is fitted with an optional garage that can transport and store a car.

Its size and weight means it needs plenty of power under the bonnet, and the motorhome is powered by a gas-guzzling 7.7-litre engine, which develops twice as much torque as a Lamborghini Aventador car.

It has the pulling power of a Toyota Hilux and the same horsepower as a Mercedes C 300.

The behemoth can be ordered with satellite TV and its panoramic skylight allows owners to look up at the night sky from the double bedroom. Most models start at £350 000, and the “super liner” will be unveiled at the Motorhome & Caravan show at the Birmingham NEC this week.

Andreas Wolfer-Heimann, of Morelo, said: “We’ve spent almost a year designing and developing the Empire liner. We believe motorhome enthusiasts, and the neral public, will be impressed.”
