London - Lonely Planet has announced its Best in Travel 2016 list.
Manchester was named one of the top ten cities in the world to visit next year. But surprisingly, no South African city was added to the list.
Instead Manchester was ranked eighth in Lonely Planet’s Best in Travel 2016 list, behind Dublin but ahead of Rome.
Kotor in Montenegro took the number one spot because it offers a “picture- perfect visage from virtually every angle”.

3. Dublin;
4. George Town, Malaysia;
5. Rotterdam;
6. Mumbai;
7. Fremantle;
8. Manchester.
