Cape Town - Here are some ideas around where to go for the Easter break.
Since most South Africans love the coast, the KZN and Western Cape beach resorts are a desirable option. And being at the tail end of summer, you’re bound to have perfect weather and lots of sun.
There are numerous stunning spots along both the South and North Coasts near Durban. South Africa boasts some of the best beaches in the world, and you’ll find many in this area.
Kids will love a stay at resorts like Pennington, Ballito or Karridene Beach. Durban itself has plenty to offer – from the iconic Durban Golden Mile beaches to uShaka Marine World and lots of shopping and food options. Driving inland, a visit to the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands area is always a real treat as well, even before the winter snows hit the Drakensberg.
The Langebaan/Saldanha area has breathtaking West Coast ocean views, and is wonderful for families who love a sea holiday, and offers lots of fishing and walks through nature.
There are some great spots to enjoy in the quiet of South Africa’s country towns. In the Western Cape, Stellenbosch and Franschhoek are excellent places to put your feet up, hear the birds…and enjoy a glass (or three) of the local wines.
