TWO men were killed and a teenager was left seriously injured allegedly after the driver of a superbike ploughed into a car on the M4 Southern Freeway near Congella on Saturday, just after midnight.
Garrith Jamieson, spokesperson for ALS Paramedics Medical Services, said it is alleged that the driver of the superbike had collided into the rear of the car on the fast lane causing extensive damage.
He said paramedics immediately triaged the scene and found that the driver of the superbike, believed to be in his forties, had sustained major injuries.
“ Unfortunately there was nothing paramedics could do for him and he was declared deceased on the scene.”
Jamieson, said of the two occupants of the car, a man believed to be in his thirties, had sustained major injuries.
“The superbike had almost split the car in two. There was nothing paramedics could do for him and he was also declared deceased on the scene.
“A teenage passenger in the car had sustained serious injuries and was stabilised by advanced life support paramedics before being transported to a nearby hospital for the urgent care she required, ”he said.
Jamieson, said the events leading up to the crash were unknown, however, police were in attendance and will be investigating further.
