Internationally acclaimed actress and producer Nomzamo Mbatha has become a beacon of inspiration for many, combining her multifaceted career with a commitment to self-care.
As summer approaches, she also dives into the essentials of maintaining glowing skin while juggling diverse projects and commitments.
With a portfolio that ranges from acting in high-profile films to producing impactful projects, Mbatha has steadily climbed the ladder of success.
Reflecting on her flourishing career, she considers her most rewarding moment: “I think the most rewarding part has been the opportunity to influence and inspire others. I’ve had the privilege of working on projects that resonate with people, and now, as a producer, I can be a part of creating stories that matter. It’s a lot of hard work, but knowing that you’re making a difference makes it all worth it.”
As an ambassador for Neutrogena, a leading cosmetic brand, she expresses gratitude for finding products that suit her needs, especially while navigating the demands of the spotlight.
“Neutrogena has been a huge part of my skincare routine for years. Their products work well for my skin, especially when I’m on set or in the sun for long hours.”
With summer's heat presenting unique challenges for skincare, asked her for her top tip to protect radiant skin in the sweltering months Mbatha attributes her skin's vitality to routine and simplicity.
“Honestly, it’s all about making small habits part of your daily routine. I always make time for a quick skincare routine before bed, even if it’s just a gentle cleanser and moisturizer. It doesn’t need to be complicated, just consistent. After a long day of shoots, my skin craves that moment of care.”
Self-care, a cornerstone of her busy life, has not been overlooked by the star as she emphasises its importance in achieving balance: “Self-care is everything! It’s so easy to get caught up in work, but taking time for myself—whether it’s skincare, a long bath, or a few quiet moments—helps me recharge. It's essential for maintaining balance and not burning out. Even on my busiest days, I make sure to carve out time for myself, even if it’s just for a few minutes of relaxation.”
Expanding on beauty products that keep her looking fresh, Mbatha proclaims that a good tinted moisturiser is essential for summer: “It’s perfect for those days when I want light coverage and SPF in one! A hydrating lip balm is always in my bag too, especially in the heat, and a good setting spray is great for keeping my make-up in place all day.”
