Award-winning music powerhouse Asanda Lusaseni Mvana, affectionately known as Msaki, is poised to celebrate a remarkable milestone in her career, marking 10 years of musical excellence and creativity.
Msaki is hosting ‘Camagu in Symphony,’ a ceremonial occasion aimed at honouring her journey, promising a heartfelt celebration of gratitude set against the vibrant backdrop of the Sun Bet Arena on December 12.
She took to social media and shared the thrilling news, emphasising the significance of this momentous occasion.
“It’s been an incredible 10 years of music and magic with you. Join me for Camagu in Symphony — a night of gratitude and celebration.”
The South African Music Performance Rights Association (SAMPRA) has been instrumental in supporting artists throughout the years. During a recent media briefing, Msaki extended her heartfelt thanks to SAMPRA, highlighting their unwavering commitment to the arts community.
The association’s endorsement was also shared on social media, reinforcing the importance of this event in acknowledging her decade-long journey.
Despite announcing a hiatus from her solo work last year, Msaki has continued to engage her fans with collaborations and features.
Earlier this year, she showcased her remarkable vocals to “uMusa”, a single by Phakade Lami and Soft Life hitmaker, Nomfundo Moh.
The song, also featuring hip-hop artist Cassper Nyovest, showcases her versatility in South African music and further tells a story of gratitude and personal narratives.
In addition to her musical pursuits, Msaki is taking her expertise into the realm of reality television as a judge on Ushuni Womhlaba, a competition that reveals South Africa’s rich musical heritage and celebrates emerging talent.
On Women’s Month, Spotify spotlighted Msaki on the list of the most streamed albums by South African female artists for her album Synthetic Hearts Part II.
This recognition is part of a broader initiative to elevate female voices in the industry, striving to bridge the gender inequality gap and celebrate remarkable female artists who challenge the status quo.
