In a powerful return to the music industry, Sabelo Zwane, widely known as Malik, has released his self-titled album, Malik.

This much-anticipated project showcases his evolution as an artist and has quickly garnered attention across major music platforms, engaging fans with its diverse blend of Afrosoul, Afrobeat, and R&B.

The album, launched on November 22, comprises 17 tracks that highlight Malik's unique sound, punctuated by thought-provoking lyrics and soaring melodies. It includes a rich collaboration with notable artists such as Ringo Madlingozi, Afrotraction, Vusi Nova, and Gedleza, contributing to the dynamic nature of the collection.

Hit singles like Bayakhula Abantwana Bam, Testify, and Gqeberh are already making waves, echoing uplifting themes that resonate with listeners of all ages.

“I’m incredibly proud of this album and the journey it’s taken me on,” the 42-year-old singer expressed. “I hope my music inspires and uplifts listeners, and I’m excited to share it with the world.” Indeed, Malik’s passion for his craft is evident, as he aims to touch hearts and forge connections through his music.

This latest release marks a significant chapter in Malik's career, which first catapulted him into the spotlight with the album “I am Free” under Ghetto Ruff in 2006. After parting ways with the record label in 2012 to pursue his artistic vision, Malik founded his label, Likstar ENT, focusing on crafting his musical identity.

To celebrate the album's release, Malik will be performing live at the New Years Day Gardens at Birchwood Hotel & OR Tambo Conference Centre on January 1, 2025.

This performance promises to be a jubilant occasion, showcasing the artistry and vibrant energy Malik is renowned for.

As Malik re-enters the scene with an album that is poised to leave a lasting impact and re-establish him as a beloved figure in South Africa's rich musical tapestry.
