Nozipho Ntshangase's once amazing marriage descended into bitterness, further disintergrating when her husband decided to take a second wife.
Opening up about her 17-year marriage on the “Love and Marriage Family Podcast” with Mo and Phindi, the reality TV star shared her emotional journey.
Known for her role on “The Mommy Club”, the mother of eight has often been in the spotlight.
Earlier this year, a video went viral showing a tense argument between Ntshangase and her husband, Zola, who was demanding car keys while she insisted she needed them to take their children to school.
This incident gave the public a glimpse into the turmoil that had been brewing since the second season of “The Mommy Club.”
Ntshangase had planned a future with her husband, including studying medicine in Zambia after years of being a stay-at-home mom.
"We had a plan that we would make the medicine work, I’ve supported his career all along. We built his business; I used to run around to submit tender documents with my kids in the back seat," she recalled.
However, things took a turn when Zola expressed his desire for a second wife, stating he didn’t need Ntshangase’s permission.
"As I’m watching my relationship and my marriage, what I knew just deteriorated because it’s hard to give yourself to something that you can see that this is not my plan and I’m definitely not planning to stay in it," she said.
What she initially thought was a phase turned into a persistent issue. Zola stopped answering her calls, avoided shopping with her, and the home environment became increasingly toxic, affecting their children.
"It’s been hard... literally waking up in the middle of the night and I’ll call a friend of mine and I’m like, Thandi how the f%ck did we get here," Ntshangase said.
She also shares her lifestyle with fans, making it clear that self-care and health are top priorities. Fans absolutely love seeing this side of her. On July 28, she took to Instagram to update everyone on her spiritual journey:
"Hey fam… Checking in… It's been a month of being intentional, having quiet time, and spending a lot of alone time with God. I’m also learning new things and mostly surviving on coffee 😃 Hope you all are good and safe… See you soon 💋"
