The Pavilion is getting into the spirit of the festive season with “The Workshop of Wonders” offering fun creative activities for children. Santa will be in the centre a fortnight before Christmas for photos, and if children want to write him a letter; there will be a charity gift-wrapping station, and live music. The KZN Philharmonic will be doing a free Christmas Concert at the Pavilion Food Court tomorrow at 6pm for an hour. Durban actor, singer and dancer, Rory Booth, who is playing the title role of Puss in Kickstart’s family panto version of Puss in Boots, in between rehearsals, did some festive shopping at the Pavilion and spotted a larger-than-life Batman in Toys R Us so stopped to say “Hi”.
Puss in Boots is on at the Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre in Durban until January 12. It is set on an enchanted Caribbean Island and features colourful costumes, songs, dance and jokes a-plenty, and is suitable for the whole family. Tickets: Webtickets. PIC BY Illa Thompson
