Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars have joined forces to create a duet that’s already giving us chills.
Despite Gaga’s busy filming schedule for “Joker: Folie à Deux”, she’s back in music mode, dropping a new track with Mars titled, “Die With A Smile.”
It’s been a while since we’ve had a good duet that hits like this. Remember the magic of Chris Brown and Jordin Sparks with “No Air” or the chemistry between Ne-Yo and Mariah Carey in “Angel’s Cry”?
Gaga and Mars are bringing those nostalgic vibes back with their latest hit, reminding us of the power and beauty of a well-crafted collaborative track.
Released on Friday, August 16, “Die With A Smile” comes with a stunning music video that takes us back to the 1960s. The visual features Gaga and Mars performing on a retro TV show stage.
To celebrate their new release, the pair took to Instagram, playfully wearing each other’s T-shirts.
Gaga also teased her upcoming album LG7, set to release next year.
In an interview with “Billboard Philippines”, she shared her excitement about the collaboration.
“Bruno and I have a lot of mutual respect for each other and were talking about collaborating,” she said.
“I was finishing up my own album in Malibu, and one night after a long day, he asked me to come to his studio to hear something he was working on. It was around midnight when I got there and I was blown away by what he had started making.”
She added: “We stayed up all night and finished writing and recording the song. Bruno’s talent is beyond explanation. His musicianship and vision are next level. There’s no one like him.”
“Die With A Smile” sounds like a nostalgic reminder of the magic that happens when two incredible artists come together.
Gaga’s theatrical flair and Mars’ smooth, soulful energy blend perfectly, bringing back the golden era of duets.
Many fans have since been enjoying the new song, including @MyeishaRoss who commented on Instagram: “I had no idea what this song was going to sound like and it’s a hit . Bruno and Lady Gaga sound so good together.”
@jakubnowak836 added: “A classic ballad, a radio hit, a chart topper, a fan favourite, song for weddings and funerals..”
@Juanche4723 also wrote: “I don’t think it’s humanly possible for Bruno to NOT make an absolute banger every time he drops.”
