Celebrity sangoma Gogo Skhotheni (real name Tumi Motsoeneng) has shared heartbreaking news that her last-born and only son, Monde Junior Shange, has died.
The toddler, who spent most of his life in hospital, died on September 2 at Busamed Modderfontein Private Hospital.
“It is with profound sadness that the Motsoeneng and Shange families confirm the passing of Monde J Shange. The families kindly request privacy as they navigate this deep and painful loss.
“We ask for your understanding and compassion in giving them the space they need during this difficult time of grieving,” read a statement from the family.

Skhotheni’s supporters on Facebook comforted her with encouraging words, reminding her that painful as it may be, her son was a fighter.

Madlala’s comment can be translated to: “But Junior you fought, you are tired now, rest mama’s baby.
“Your passing pains us because we knew you through your family and friends, and we loved and prayed for you, hoping that you’d get better, but unfortunately, didn’t. Tumi, I don’t know what to say. My condolences.”
Another supporter, Thozama Ntabeni, said: “Eish, the pain of losing a child cannot be compared to any other pain in the world. May his innocent and happy soul rest in harmony. My condolences to your family, gogo.”
Celebrities like Keke Mphuthi also sent their condolences.
“As a parent, this sunk my heart cause I don’t know where I’d start … my sincerest condolences to the parents and family of this beautiful, handsome boy,” Mphuthu said.
Others reminisced about the boy’s happiness during a live video with his family a day before his death.
