Mzansi’s entertainment scene was buzzing after the Celebrity Soccer Games 2024 took a sour turn when DJ Tira and gospel musician Dumi Mkokstad clashed on live TV.
What started as a fun day out quickly escalated when Big Zulu and Tira got into a heated argument with Dumi Mkokstad.
The bone of contention? Tira’s decision to include professional players on his team, which didn’t sit well with Mkokstad, who frowned upon what he saw as a manipulative strategy.
The argument was intense enough to bring the game to a temporary halt, leaving viewers shook.
Despite the drama, the hip hop team won. However, the tension between Tira and Mkokstad lingered, leaving fans wondering if their relationship would ever recover.
Fast forward to the present, and it looks like all is forgiven. Tira took to Instagram to share that there’s no bad blood between him and the gospel artist.
Posting photos of the two together, Tira captioned the post, “Yima whoooo @dumi_mkokstadsa,” showing that the beef is officially squashed.
Mkokstad responded in the comments with a light-hearted, “uDumi unenkani 😂 ..: love and peace my brother.”
It’s clear that these two stars have put their differences behind them and it’s all love and peace moving forward.
Big Zulu issued an apology on Instagram on July 22, addressing his comments during the Celebrity Soccer Games. In the video, he asked for forgiveness for calling Mkokstad a "boy".
“I'd like to apologise to him, his wife, his children, his family, his fans, the attendees of the tournament as well as those who watched it on TV. There were a lot of mistakes done ...
“A lot happened,” he said.
