Kaizer Chiefs’ head coach, Nasreddine Nabi, has once again called for patience from the club’s supporters, urging them to trust the process despite their disappointing 2-0 loss to Richards Bay FC on Sunday.

The defeat at King Zwelithini Stadium dealt a significant blow to Amakhosi’s hopes of finishing in third place in the Betway Premiership, putting their CAF Confederation Cup aspirations in jeopardy. As Chiefs’ Top 3 position continues to slip away, the pressure is mounting, but Nabi remains resolute in his belief that his team is on the right path.

“We are building a team, and a big team like Kaizer Chiefs doesn’t come together in just six or seven months. It takes time,” Nabi said, offering a measured perspective despite the setback.

The loss left Chiefs in eighth place in the standings, with much to reflect on, but the coach remains focused on the bigger picture.

“We know exactly what we need to improve this team and this club. The results of a single game won’t change our vision,” he added.

With eight league matches left to play and the potential for redemption through a Nedbank Cup semi-final berth, Chiefs still have a chance to finish strong. Nabi’s message to the club’s fans is clear: stay patient, trust the process, and believe in the long-term vision. Despite the setbacks, the journey is far from over.

The Naturena-based club are now six points behind third-placed Stellenbosch FC. Amakhosi will have two weeks to regroup during the international break before returning to action against Golden Arrows on the 30th, hoping to bounce back after back-to-back disappointing performances.
