Former Kaizer Chiefs player Michael Nkambule has urged supporters to be patient with newly appointed coach Nasreddine Nabi as he begins his quest to bring back the glory days at Naturena.
Amakhosi had a disastrous 2023/24 campaign, ending the season in 10th position in the league table. They have roped in the services of Nabi to lead the side this season in hopes that the Tunisian mentor can turn things around at the club.
Chiefs also have bolstered their squad with several high-profile signings such as former Mamelodi Sundowns player Gaston Sirino, former Orlando Pirates defender Bongani Sam and TS Galaxy goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari.

Nkambule, however, emphasised the need for supporters to give Nabi a chance as he navigates his way around South African football.
"I think in the Chiefs situation, the new coach must be given a chance to prove himself. Everyone deserves a chance. We can't say whether he is good or not while he has just arrived. So, I urge supporters to give him a chance.” Nkambule told Sportsboom.
Nkambule also added that while Nabi managed to be successful at his previous club's, the pressure at the Phefeni Glamour Boys would be unlike anything he has experienced before.
“We all know his record. He did well in his previous teams but at Chiefs, there is too much pressure. If he's given a chance, maybe he will bring something different,” the former Chiefs winger said.
