Former Bafana Bafana player Doctor Khumalo has revealed that newly appointed Kaizer Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi plans to send out six players on loan ahead of the upcoming season.

Speaking on the SABC's Soccer Zone show on Monday, Khumalo stated that Nabi and his technical team have already asked the Amakhosi hierarchy whether the six players can go out on loan.

“I’ve seen the names of the players that they’ve asked the management to loan out, six of them. It’s not my duty to mention them here. Two of them are nursing injuries at the moment,” said the former Kaizer Chiefs legend.

Khumalo also revealed that Nabi was eager to work with young players at the club.

Chiefs have already bolstered their squad with young players ahead of the upcoming season, having recently signed 22-year-old defender Rushwin Dortley from Cape Town Spurs.

Other players who have been signed by Amakhosi include former Orlando Pirates player Bongani Sam 26 and TS Galaxy goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari, 24

“The information that I got is that the new technical team really want to work with the youth,” said Khumalo.

The “Phefeni Glamour Boys” ended the season in a disastrous 10th place on the league table last season, and have pinned their hopes on the former Young Africans coach to turn things around at the club.

Nabi, by the looks of things, has hit the ground running and is already ringing in the changes at the club in his quest to bring back the glory days.

Amakhosi are currently hard at work preparing for the upcoming season in a pre-season camp in Turkey and recently received a major confidence boost. They managed to beat Qatar Stars League side Al Shahaniya 5-2 in a pre-season friendly last week.
