Maputo – Acting Bafana Bafana coach Owen da Gama has made some changes to the team that beat Senegal in a Fifa World Cup 2018 Russia qualifier last weekend. South Africa take on Mozambique in an international friendly match at the 40 000-seater Estadio Nacional do Zimpeto in Maputo.
Belgium-based striker Lars Veldwijk will spearhead the Bafana Bafana strike force and will be supported by Thuso Phala and May Mahlangu in what appears to be an attack-minded starting XI.
Ronwen Williams will man the posts while the back four will comprise of Ramahlwe Mphahele, Erick Mathoho, Clayton Daniels and captain Thulani Hlatshwayo. Daine Klate, Tiyani Mabunda, Hompho Kekana will control things in the midfield as Bafana Bafana try to maintain their grip on Mozambique to whom they have never lost a match.
