Johannesburg – The Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane will host South Africa's 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Congo Brazzaville, the SA Football Association (Safa) announced on Tuesday.
Kick-off in Polokwane will be 8.05pm.
The all-important clash will take place on Wednesday, October 15, just five days after the two teams clash in the Congolese coastal city of Point Noire on 10 October.
The away game will be Bafana Bafana's third in the qualifiers, following clashes with Sudan and Nigeria earlier this month.
Coach Shakes Mashaba is expected to announce his squad for both Congo clashes next week.
“I am glad to take the match to Polokwane. The people of Limpopo have never disappointed whenever Bafana play in Polokwane and we expect another bumper crowd on October 15,” Mashaba said.
After two rounds, Bafana lie second with four points from two games, while Congo lead the pack with six points following wins over Sudan and Nigeria.
The Super Eagles are third with one point and Sudan are bottom of the table without any points.
Bafana still have to host Sudan in November, before travelling to Nigeria for a return leg against the Super Eagles. – Sapa
