GOLD COAST – South Africa powered past Scotland with a 26-5 victory in their sevens Pool A match at the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games on Saturday.
The defending Commonwealth Games champions with the win, booked their spot in the semi-finals following triumphs earlier in the day against Malaysia and Papua New Guinea.

Almost immediately after the kickoff, South Africa regained possession and Cecil Afrikia sped away to score his first try. The conversion was missed, but South Africa were ahead 19-0.
A fourth try came when Geduld gathered a kick over the Scotland defence and dotted down under the posts. He added another two from in front to effectively seal the result.
