The Racket and Ball’s 2025 season is in full swing as the Padel arena has already hosted some banger events.
After launching sporting charity Padel4Good’s first event for the new year last month, the Bree Street venue — which is quickly becoming a popular location for the who’s who of the fastest growing sport — recently rolled out the Aston Martin R275 000 cash tournament sponsored by PokerBet in March.
On March 9, Willy Lahoz and Jason Blakey Milner walked away the big winners, bagging R100 000 in the Men’s Open tournament, while Greg Hahn and Brian Gradner took home a decent R40 000 after earning the top spot in the Men’s Below 4 (rating as per the PlayTomic App) category.
Next weekend, the venue, which showcases top-class courts and high-end facilities, will host two events from Saturday, March 29, to Sunday, March 30.

On Saturday, Padel4Good returns with its second event of the year and its first women’s show for 2025.
After 23 shows in Paarden Eiland, Padel4Good debuted at Racket and Ball last month with a Men’s show showcasing 32 men — rated between levels 2.5 and 5 on the PlayTomic App, take to the beautiful Racket and Ball Club court.
Carl Rickens and Raoul Hasselerham walked away as overall champions after beating worthy opponents Michael Brits and Igmar Wentzel 6-3 in the Championship final after an intense match.
This weekend, ladies with an individual rating between 2 and 5 will step up and compete for bragging rights, honors, prizes, and most importantly for a good cause as proceeds go to homes aimed at empowering women and children previously exposed to abuse and poverty across the Western Cape.
On the same day, Racket and Ball will roll out their monthly cash (R60 000) prize tournament (R20 000 per division) that will run over two days.
The different divisions — per the PlayTomic App — include Below 5 (combined team rating), Below 7.5, and Open.
The venue’s open league will start on the 4th of April and will run for six weeks.
