Champagne darling, champagne, because your girl “B” is returning to the small screens after a long day of work and school, for some.

Popularly known as Queen B, Bonang Matheba will be piloting yet another one of her reality shows, “B'dazzled by Bonang” on SABC 3 at 18:00, on July 29.

The six-part series, with 46 minute-long episodes, is a co-production between Bonang Matheba Entertainment and Cake Media. The reality show promises to captivate viewers with intimate moments Matheba has never shared before with the public.

The show, described as a “behind-the-scenes style show”, is a revamp of the original series launched on YouTube in 2011, which attracted over one million followers.

A statement released said that “B'dazzled by Bonang” “is set to be bigger and bolder” as the show will be zooming into Matheba’s expertise in the entertainment, business and lifestyle industries, and, of course, will include snippets of her personal life and sense of humour.

The award-winning media personality, global ambassador, fashion icon and businesswoman explained she was finally ready to share the business side of her brand after 20 years in the entertainment industry.

“After so many years in the industry, I’m excited to share a side of me that is not often seen – the business behind my various brands and how they are working to better society. ‘B’dazzled by Bonang’ is an exhilarating combination of the daily trials and tribulations that come with running my businesses, with a dose of the dazzle and glamour that my audiences have come to know and love,” said Matheba.

Having hosted “Miss South Africa” last year, Matheba pulled in 1.8 million viewers for S3 (SABC) following reports that the channel had had a decline in TV ratings.

Hence, the head of Channel S3, Sane Zondi, noted that Matheba garners TV ratings because her brand aligns with the channel’s brand values of affluence, luxury and lifestyle.

“We know Bonang is a ratings generator and we have seen this on S3 and other SABC platforms before. This new series is one that we have intentionally acquired to garner higher ratings; it is part of our second-quarter milestone against our strategy of increased entertainment of global standard and is meant to reinforce our brand position.

“Bonang exudes the same brand values of fiercely achieving your goals, owning your personal narrative and living an accomplished life that S3 champions in all our audiences. We hope audiences will be re-inspired to keep pursuing their goals and build an impactful life,” said Zondi.
