Influencers can be counted on to do obscene things to bring attention to themselves and their content, However, a US influencer may have taken it to the next level.
Using the streaming platform Kick, the man going by the name Dumb Dumb Jeez showed himself after he convinced a homeless woman to go on a dinner date.
When it came to paying the bill, he made up an excuse to leave and did not return to pay.
“Oh no ... Okay, uhm f***, I think I left my wallet in my car. I’ll be right back,” he said in a clip of his stream.
The woman across from him can be heard saying, ‘alright’ and he gets up and leaves the restaurant. He then hops into a waiting car and leaves the area.
The restaurant ended up having to pay the bill.
Kick co-founder Bijan Tehrani responded to the clip on X (Twitter): “This pathetic and now banned streamer did this while trying to win a contest for $50,000 (about R886,815). I am disappointed this happened on Kick and we have got $50,000 for this lady if anyone can connect us.”
In a video reaction to the clip, Dumb Dumb Jeez said that the stream was his submission into the first leg of Sam Pepper's challenge, which required competitors to go on a date with a stranger.
“I rigged that sh*t bro. Before the stream, I talked to the female, the lady, which is Mabel. I literally had the conversation with her about what we were going to do. I gave her the money already beforehand. Mabel is fine bro. It’s scripted bro,” he said.
However, readers added context to the post: “Like all his ‘Scripted’ Content, This false apology is scripted, unapologetic, dishonest and disrespectful ... the streamer clearly lied stating that he had ‘pre arranged payment’ However it has been made apparent that the restaurant ended up footing the bill. POS.”
Now the hunt is on to find the woman and give her R886,815.
