An Economic Freedom Fighters Student Command (EFFSC) member Kganki Mphalele has been expelled by the party following a social media spat with leader Julius Malema.

The decision was made in response to allegations that Mphahlele had engaged in insulting and defamatory remarks about the party and its leadership.

Mphahlele got into an online public spat with Malema after Mphahlele suggested that his president was not a NPA super delegate and must not parachute Godrich Garde to the deputy president position.

However, the second-year political sciences student at the University of Limpopo (UL) felt that his membership termination was unfair.

In his post on X, Mphahlele said: “CIC Julius Malema is not an NPA super delegate, he must not dare try to impose Godrich Garde as the EFF Deputy President.

“We don't want GG, we want Mbuyiseni Ndlozi as branches. Julius and all his deployees must not dare start a war with branches, war is a very difficult thing.”

According to Mphahlele, the EFF branches rather preferred a senior leader Dr Mbuyiseni Ndlozi for the deputy president position.

“CMSR Dr. Mbuyiseni Ndlozi we're going for the jugular now, we must protect the EFF from the elites…

“Some people think they're untouchable but we will show them that they're not. If you ever thought that you're untouchable just know it's a lie, we are still on our way and we will touch you. We are absolutely patient with ourselves, no man must homogenise the political space,” he said on X.

“Try me boys,” Malema responded to Mphahlele.

The party’s letter stated that Mphahlele’s comments brought the party into disrepute.

He is also barred from participating in the party’s activities.

“You shall not visit any EFFSC offices and/or contact any EFFSC leaders or staff members regarding the day-to-day activities and administration of the organisation,” he said.

Malema recently mentioned that any member who goes against the laws of the EFF will face the consequences.
