Cape Town - Police are bracing themselves as the first few protesting students arrive at Parliament on Wednesday.
Police officers were getting in formation and were also preparing to roll out barbed wire.
Western Cape police commissioner Khombinkosi Jula was also present.
Thousands of university students are marching from Cape Penisula of Technology’s Cape Town campus to Parliament to demand an answer to their call for free tertiary education.
The march is set to coincide with Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan’s medium-term budget speech later on Wednesday.
