After six years on the run, diamond heist fugitive is back in custody

Tebogo Mahlangu, who escaped custody by threatening a police officer with a firearm in 2019, has been recaptured after nearly six years as a fugitive. The dramatic arrest occurred while he was attending an unrelated court case in Witbank. Mahlangu was originally charged in connection with a violent diamond heist on the N12 highway.
