This is the first picture we've seen of the 2013 Volvo V40 in R Design trim - which is not surprising as the sporty V40 is not expected to break cover until late in September at the Paris motor show.
Apparently this photo was leaked from a Spanish dealer catalogue; it shows a chunkier front bumper with vertical daytime riding lights a la Citroen DS3, brushed-aluminium door-mirror housings and five-spoked alloy rims.
The new V40 - launched at the Geneva motor show in March - is due to be released in South Africa in December 2012 or January 2013, and the R Design models are not expected until mid-2013.
