Honda is about to turn the budget-car segment on its ear with the launch of an all-new entry-level model.
The Brio is Honda's first entry in this market segment, affording budget-conscious buyers access to the brand in a new and affordable package.
The Brio may be built down to a price but it has all the Honda DNA, especially in its 1.2-litre i-VTec engine with electronically controlled, variable valve timing and four valves per cylinder, rated at 65kW and 109Nm - and it'll be available in South Africa with a choice of manual or automatic gearbox.
TREND-SETTER
Honda SA managing director Yoshiaki Nakamura said: “The Brio is poised to become a trend-setter in the entry-level segment, and will allow us to bring the Honda brand values of styling, quality and, above all, motoring fun, to a wider audience for the first time.”
The new Honda Brio is scheduled for SA release early in December. Final pricing and specifications will be finalised closer to launch.
