INTERNATIONAL - His break-up with Angelina Jolie two years ago was very public and just as bitter.
Now, however, it seems that Brad Pitt is back on the dating scene after reportedly enjoying dates with Charlize Theron.
The pair are said to be in the early stages of what would be the 55 year old’s first proper romance since the end of his 12-year relationship with Jolie, when they were dubbed Brangelina.
Pitt and fellow A-lister Theron were introduced by her former fiance Sean Penn last year and are thought to have been dating since December after hitting it off.
They were recently spotted enjoying a cosy date in Los Angeles, it was reported yesterday.
A source said: “They have been casually seeing each other for nearly a month now. They’ve been friends for some time, ironically through Sean, but things have developed.”
During their time at the Chateau Marmont boutique hotel in Hollywood, Pitt reportedly joined the 43-year-old Oscar winner in a corner of the bar.
“They were ridiculously touchy-feely and his arm was around her back. At one point he winked at her,” the insider told The Sun on Sunday.
“Brad seemed in a really good place, they both looked really happy.”
Theron, star of Mad Max: Fury Road and Monster, was reportedly drinking vodka but Pitt stuck to water after giving up alcohol in 2016.
The screen star has been linked to a string of women since his marriage broke down in September 2016, but has never gone public with a new romance.
He was rumoured to be dating architect and designer Professor Neri Oxman last May and more recently jewellery company owner Sat Hari Khalsa.
Pitt’s earlier marriage to Friends star Jennifer Aniston, 49, ended in 2005 after five years during which they were one of showbusiness’s most high-profile celebrity couples.
The star of Seven and Fight Club was also engaged to another actress, Gwyneth Paltrow, 46, but they split up in 1997 without tying the knot.
Theron, an activist in the fight against Aids, and Penn started dating in 2013 and became engaged a year later but called it off in 2015. Last year she reportedly rekindled her romance with Swedish actor Alexander Skarsgard, nearly six years after they first started dating.
She has two adopted children, August and Jackson, while Pitt is father to Zahara, 13, Shiloh, 12, twins Vivienne and Knox, 10, Maddox, 16, and Pax, 14, with Jolie.
