Sydney - A 24-year-old man accused of stabbing another man in the neck with a broken beer bottle for being too loud will remain in custody after appearing in court on Monday.
Sateki Siale, the accused, did not apply for bail - before being formally refused by the judge - when he appeared in a Sydney Court on Monday charged with the murder of a 45-year-old man in the early hours of Sunday morning.
It’s believed the 45-year-old was chatting with his partially- deaf father when he was confronted for talking too loudly, apparently agreeing to quiet down.
However 45 seconds later it is alleged the man was assaulted with a broken beer bottle.
The 45-year-old was found bleeding from the neck down and died at the scene.
