DURBAN: Deputy Minister in the Presidency Thembi Siweya was accompanied by Deputy Health Minister Dr Sibongiseni Dhlomo, who is also the former KZN Health MEC, and other officials, to receive her Covid-19 vaccine.
Siweya, received her vaccine jab at the Pelonomi Academic Hospital, Mangaung, in the Free State.
Siweya also visited the Free State Stadium, in Bloemfontein, for front-line service delivery monitoring, at the Mangaung Metro Municipality, in the Free State Province.
The site was part of the Department of Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation’s ongoing front-line monitoring programme, that is aimed at assessing the quality of service delivery and to ascertain progress in the implementation of the vaccination programme.
The government said, during the monitoring session, the Deputy Minister was accompanied by the Free State Premier Sisi Ntombela, Deputy Minister of Health Dr Sibongiseni Dlomo, Free State MEC of Health Montseng Tsui, and mayor of Mangaung Mxolisi Siyonzana.
