Bontle Modiselle-Moloi, the multi-talented dancer, choreographer, and TV personality, recently appeared on the popular YouTube show ‘Spreading Humour,’ also known as The ‘Bantweezys.’

The show, which airs on Sundays on the Podcast and Chill Network, is hosted by Sima Mangolwane, Zille Wizzy, and Yanda Woods. The show has become a hit with fun and funny content.

In the latest episode, which aired on Sunday, August 18, Bontle opened up about her family dynamics, particularly her relationships with her sisters, Refilwe and Candice Modiselle, who are also in the entertainment industry.

When asked if there was any sibling rivalry, Bontle was quick to dismiss the idea.

“People would think so. And, obviously, if you have siblings, there might be that kind of rivalry, but we don’t have that kind of relationship.

“We are very supportive, and we have a really good friendship between us,” she stated.

Bontle explained that each of her sisters took different paths in their careers. Refilwe started as a model and is also an advocate for people with albinism, while Candice is known for her work as an actor.

“There’s also a four-year gap between Refilwe and then myself and Candice. So we have been through different stages of entering the entertainment space at different times. Also, our point of entry was very different”.

Bontle emphasised that their diverse interests and experiences have made their bond stronger, not competitive.

“We have also diversified. We have also gone into different things,” she said, highlighting the supportive nature of their relationship, which includes sharing advice and even helping each other navigate tricky industry negotiations.

Bontle also opened up about her relationship with her husband, rapper Priddy Ugly, and the decision to share their love life on social media.

Bontle admitted that being open about their relationship comes with risks, especially in a world where public opinions can sometimes overshadow personal truths.

“The risk is people feel like they must have an opinion on you guys, what they think, how they feel, and they project even their own fears,” she said.

Despite the challenges, Bontle encouraged couples to be open and honest about their love, especially young black couples.

“I would encourage people to do it because I think the problem is, especially as young black kids, if you don’t see enough examples of people loving themselves and each other unapologetically, you become fearful,” she explained.

Bontle’s message to couple dealing with public attention was simple: couples should feel free to express their love openly, whether through taking pictures together, creating content, or simply sharing their relationship with the world.

“As much as people know you and know about your relationship, they don’t actually know you guys and the intimate details of your relationship. So don’t over-explain yourself,” she said.
