South African designer Nobukhosi Nkosi, founder of Khosi Nkosi, has launched her heritage collection.
The Unified collection, created in partnership with African Bank, celebrates fashion-forward women in uniform.
“The new clothing range is a full fashion collection and a stunning blend of traditional African aesthetics and contemporary design. It incorporates the bank’s distinctive brand patterns and shapes in creative and subtle ways, creating a harmonious balance between professional attire and cultural expression.
“The use of vibrant prints and bold colours celebrates the rich heritage of Mzansi, while the sleek, modern silhouettes ensure that the uniforms are both stylish and functional, like your Sunday best,” read a statement from the brand.
Known for empowering women and celebrating African heritage, Khosi Nkosi featured powerful women in this campaign, including former Miss South Africa 2021 Lalela Mswane and sustainability enthusiast Margo Faith Fargo.
“Empowering women is equivalent to caring for a plant. Once it blossoms, it will show you how beautiful and impactful it can be to the world,” said Nkosi.
The designer has also partnered with other brands, such as Omoda, on an exclusive range of limited knit sets and stylish jackets.
Although Heritage Month is celebrated in September, brands like Khosi Nkosi note that they have made it their identity to honour the South African heritage with every piece of clothing they create.
