London - If you have woken up this morning feeling drastically unprepared for tomorrow’s big day, you are by no means alone.
Last-minute shopping and worries over the Christmas lunch mean festive stress peaks at 2.33pm today, according to a study.
Finding fridge space for the food and fears over whether there is enough booze also add to the woes, a survey of 2 000 women found.
It also emerged a large percentage of us fret about unfinished wrapping and whether the children will like their presents.
Unfortunately most women will blame their husband or partner for their panicked state, closely followed by the mother-in-law. A spokesperson for Healthspan, the vitamin brand that conducted the poll, said: “Juggling work, children, the Christmas dinner and the in-laws is no mean feat, so it’s understandable that stress levels will be pushed to the limit.”
The study also found 67 percent of mothers find Christmas Day stressful.
Three quarters said their partners don’t get anywhere near as stressed as they do about the festivities – with 30 percent of those getting annoyed about this.
However, one in three women said they wouldn’t trust their partner to do anything properly. - Daily Mail
