Football GOAT Cristiano Ronaldo and his Al-Nassr football club teammates received luxury BMW XM Red Label cars, each worth an eye-watering R3,714,380.24.
This comes after a major sponsorship agreement between Al-Nassr and BMW Saudi Arabia, making the German carmaker the official vehicle partner of the club.
The announcement was shared by Al-Nassr on social media with the caption, "Luxury meets football stars".
The BMW XM Red Label is one of the most powerful hybrid SUVs in the world. It features a cutting-edge twin-turbo V8 petrol engine combined with a 145kW electric motor, producing a total output of 550kW and 1,000Nm.
In comparison, the standard BMW XM generates 480kW and 800Nm. Power is distributed through an eight-speed M Steptronic gearbox and BMW’s M-tuned xDrive all-wheel drive system.
BMW claims the Red Label accelerates from 0 to 100km/h in just 3.8 seconds, making it half a second quicker than the standard model. With the M Driver’s Package - standard for South African versions - the top speed is capped at 290km/h.
As part of the special delivery, each vehicle was personalized for the players and coaching staff, including manager Stefano Pioli.
Cristiano Ronaldo, thrilled with his gift, said, "Really nice, very comfortable. I like it - a good colour and a really nice design."
Former Liverpool star Sadio Mane also took the wheel to test the luxury SUV during the unveiling.
For South African car enthusiasts, only five BMW XM Red Label vehicles were made available in Mzansi, offering local fans the chance to experience the same premium performance as football’s elite.
