Minnie Dlamini will rock the Vodacom
Durban July red carpet today in a
supersexy gown by celebrity designer
Gert-Johan Coetzee inspired by the
plumage of a white peacock.
“When you mix all the colours of light
together you get white light… and that’s
pure magic,” explained the innovative
designer.
“That led me to the striking
beauty of a white peacock. Making a
dress for Minnie for the July is great fun,
because you can go edgier and be
more playful than with regular red carpet
occasions.”

The asymmetrical gown shows Dlamini’s
curves off to best effect, with soft frills
tumbling down to a floor-length hemline
while showing plenty of leg, and a bodice
embellished with Swarovski crystals and
laser-cut detail that mimics feathers.

The SuperSport presenter’s look is
completed with long, flowing locks
and, in true horse-racing style, a cheeky
fascinator.
“I haven’t been to the Durban
July for a few years, and I’m so excited to
be coming out of hiding in a custom GJC,”
she said. “The colour of magic is written all
over this whimsical design… I’m in love!”
