American rapper Rick Ross has had a great time in Cape Town, sight seeing, watching whales, doing podcasts and even shouting music videos.

The hip-hop mega star was in the Mother City for a mini vacation this January and also made sure to link up with local rapper Usimamane

Usimamane last year landed a major feature from the ā€œBossā€ himself for ā€œDangerous IIā€ which is on his deluxe album ā€œ20th: Days Before Maudā€.

Rick Ross, real name is William Leonard Roberts II, was in the country where they shot the music video for ā€œDangerous IIā€.

The ā€œUvaloā€ hitmaker shared a clip on Instagram with him standing next to the ā€œAston Martin Musicā€ hitmaker. In his caption, he simply said ā€œthank youā€ to the rapper.

Fans of the local rapper shared their excitement about the moment on Usimamaneā€™s comment section.

The Umlazi rapper speaking to Apple Music's Nadeska opened up about working with the international star. He explained that Rick Rossā€™ reached out to his team who told him that he wanted to feature on the song.

At the time, the first version of the song featuring CaseKlowzed had been completed, when Rick Ross sent the song back, Usimamane was left very surprised and couldn't believe it himself.

Rick Ross has been to South Africa several times and one of his most memorable visits was in 2018 when he toured the township with Kwesta.

The two had been to Soweto and Katlehong, where Kwestaā€™s grandmother sent him to buy bread at the shop.
