You get ghosted then you just get dating an actual ghost!

A South African woman’s shocking revelation that she unknowingly dated a ghost has left TikTok users speechless and sparked a wave of eerie confessions from others.

Lebo Sehale first stunned her followers with a post that read, “Me smiling ‘cause life didn’t end when I actually discovered that I was recently dating a person who died 10 years ago.”

The post quickly went viral, receiving over 18,000 likes and sparking a flood of comments from others sharing their paranormal experiences.

The viral moment gained even more traction when TikTok user Hazel Malatole commented with laughing emojis, saying, “I’m sorry for laughing, I just remembered I was once in love with a Zambian ghost.”

Sehale replied, “At least I’m not alone,” prompting widespread curiosity about Malatole’s story.

In response to the growing interest, Malatole detailed her experience with the Zambian ghost in a series of chilling revelations, blending humour with disbelief.

She joked, “I’m scared it may go viral and the guy will eventually find me… The way I have a soft spot for him, I don’t see myself resisting.” Adding a touch of TikTok flair, she used the trending phrase, “We don’t judge, we listen.”

Malatole then explained how her relationship with the ghost began. “I got approached by a Zambian ghost-speaking clean Zulu and expressed his love for me, we exchanged numbers, He called a few times and I fell in love with him...,” she said.

Things soon became unusual. She said, “From there the ghost never called me, he just appears whenever he wants me , after work I'll just feel someone grabbing my bag from behind kanti it's him..”

She added, “At the mall he just appears just behind me, l asked him how does he find me he said it's a coincidence, we kissed for the first time and I got madly in love with this ghost so bad”

Malatole recalled one peculiar moment when she attempted a video call at night, but something was off. "Guys there was no background, he was in an unexplainable place, I could see his face though.”

When asked about the lack of a background, the ghost claimed he was covering himself with a blanket because he was feeling cold.

Despite her growing suspicions, Malatole admitted she was deeply in love. “every weekend we go out on dates till late but he won't take me to his place, he will rather pay R300 to Uber me home after the date, lapho ngimthandaaaaaaaa.”

The story took a dark turn when Malatole noticed something strange.

“I realised that this person never keeps an eye contact with me, I'd look at him and he'll look at the side when I look to the side that's when he'll look at me with a smile on his face for a moment I fell in love again but hey I was drinking that water,” (referring to the water from the prophet).

When she met the ghost she was also in a relationship with someone,  she told her then boyfriend "that my ghost friend is strange and I don't understand him and I feel his presence at home."

Malatole’s then boyfriend sought advice from a prophet and gave her the water to drink every night. She started to notice more strange things about her ghostly lover.

She eventually decided to check for his shadow only to discover he didn’t have one. “I was in awe, but I held it together,” she said.

The ghost had even convinced her to plan a trip to Zambia, promising to pay lobola (bride price) for her. But Malatole’s doubts intensified, and she eventually ended the supernatural relationship.

The story has resonated with thousands, with many users sharing their own eerie encounters.
