Businesswoman Shauwn Mkhize focuses on the positives, despite the drama surrounding her football team, Royal AM.
In a recent post on her Instagram Stories, Mam’Mkhize, as she is popularly called, showed herself dancing, looking happy.
“My side of the story doesn't matter anymore. Life happened it hurt. I healed. But most importantly, I learned who deserves a seat at my table and who will never seat again,” she wrote on the video.
Amidst the controversy with Royal AM, the former reality TV star last posted on the photo-sharing app on January 8 with a statement addressing being under curatorship. However, in recent weeks, she has been posting on her stories, showing her 3.6 million followers that she is okay.
The South African Revenue Service (SARS) placed the club under the curatorship of Jaco Venter, following the seizure of the team from its owner, Mkhize, due to an alleged tax debt of R40 million.
With Mkhize stripped of ownership, the club's stability was severely disrupted, and the immediate consequences were significant.
Mkhize’s son, Andile Mpisane, has also taken a back seat when it comes to his social media activity. The socialite bought him the club for his 19th birthday and made him the chairman of Royal AM.
Mpisane last posted on Instagram on his wife’s birthday in December, but on TikTok, a week ago, he shared a teaser of his new music. Mpisane last dropped music officially in 2022 with a single called “Makhwapheni”.
One person in the Mpisane, Mkhize family who has not shied away from social media is Andile’s older sister, Sbahle Mpisane, who uses her platform to influence products.
