Thobeka Majozi, the mother of rapper Cassper Nyovest’s son, has revealed that the rapper allegedly cheated on her with his now wife while their son Khotso fought for his life, battling cancer for two years.
Majozi took to Instagram to share an emotional birthday message, reflecting on the challenges she and her son have faced in recent years, as she dealt with infidelity and her cancer-stricken son’s recovery.
Cassper Nyovest, whose real name is Refiloe Phoolo, tied the knot in a traditional wedding with his childhood friend, Pulane Mojaki, in April 2024. In a heartfelt Instagram revelation dedicated to her faith and healing journey, Majozi opened up about her son’s cancer diagnosis and the impact it has had on their lives.
Majozi, who welcomed her son Khotso with Cassper Nyovest in September 2020, disclosed that her child was diagnosed with cancer at just eight months old.
Now, as she celebrates her 32nd birthday, Majozi expressed gratitude for her journey through the hardships of life, despite the pain of Cassper allegedly cheating while the son was in hospital.
“This birthday hits different,” she wrote.
“The last few years have been something & looking back now, I'm filled with gratitude. Who would've thought I’d be here. Not in pieces but in peace.”
Reflecting on the difficult period, she recalled the emotional toll the cancer diagnosis had on her family.
“The tears that were once silent are now from laughing out loud. I'm actually in awe of the goodness of God.”
Majozi shared how, for two years, she lived in an oncology hospital while her son underwent chemotherapy and life-threatening surgeries.
"I lived in an oncology hospital for 2 years with my son as he underwent chemotherapy & life-threatening surgeries," she wrote.
In addition to her son’s illness, Majozi faced personal heartbreak, revealing that she discovered her partner’s alleged infidelity during this time.
“In the depth of fighting cancer, I was hit with a curveball of infidelity. The woman knew me, my son's condition, and made no mistake with flaunting their relationship.”
Majozi expressed her pain, writing:
“I couldn’t trust someone who can hurt me at my lowest or allow another woman to disrespect his woman.”
Despite this, she put her focus on her son’s health, stating, “At the time, his health was more important than my heart.”
Amid these challenges, Majozi found solace in her faith, revealing that the difficult period brought her closer to God.
“I gave my life to Jesus. I entered the era of isolation. He placed me in His secret place. He worked my character, renewed my mind & restored my heart.”
Ending her post on a hopeful note, she wrote, “I’m fully in my Jesus girl era, walking in love & forgiveness. Most days are better than others. Yet peace remains.”
