Andrew Tate, the self-proclaimed alpha male of the internet, has once again found himself in hot water - this time with South Africans.

The American influencer took to X (formerly Twitter) and, without warning or explanation, declared to his 10 million followers: "Never trust South African women." Haibo!

Mzansi did not take this insult lying down. Social media erupted as people clapped back at Tate, questioning exactly what possessed him to target South African women. Because let’s be honest, if anyone in this situation shouldn’t be trusted, it’s the guy currently on trial for human trafficking allegations. But we digress.

While Tate’s loyal followers probably agreed, South Africans were having none of it.

One user, @BhovuRbay, hit back with, "A weak man like you can't handle our beautiful queens." Others simply laughed at the absurdity.

@TheKiffness kept it short and effective with a simple "Voetsek." He wasn't the only one to say this. And we all know that word carries weight, whether you're a dog or a human.

Of course, some took Tate’s side.

User @jaicilgin chimed in with, "I’ve been saying this for years. South African women = Recreational use only. Doesn’t matter if they’re black or white. They only care about money. Other African women tend to want love too. But South Africans? Purely money, that’s it. Completely agree brother."

If getting dragged was a person, it’s Mzansi women right now. But we move.

@TalkLawMonare commented, "Even American women don't trust you, so what business do you have trusting South African Queens?" Cue mic drop.

While @EvansMathibe highlighted, "Coming from someone who made money illegally, the worst crimes are prostitution and human trafficking. Yet, you have the audacity to insult our South African queens. Women worldwide should not trust you because you groom them into prostitution."

For those lucky enough to have avoided him, Tate is a former kickboxer turned social media personality, famous for spewing "traditional masculinity" takes that often just sound like misogyny with extra steps.

He’s been banned from multiple platforms, reinstated, and currently faces serious legal issues. Tate thrives on controversy, with his fans eating up his inflammatory statements.

What makes this statement even more bizarre is that Tate didn’t even bother explaining himself. Was he rejected by a South African queen? Did he lose a bet? Or is he just saying things for engagement?

Even if he did get his heart broken by a South African woman, surely it’s important not to put all of them under the same umbrella-ella-ella-eh (shoutout to Rihanna).
