50 Cent is up to his usual antics but this time the subject is far from light-hearted.
The rapper and actor recently reacted to the “shocking” allegations involving his long-time rival, Jay-Z, and Sean "Diddy" Combs.
Both music legends are accused in an amended lawsuit of drugging and raping a 13-year-old girl at an MTV Video Music Awards after-party in 2000.
Known for his unfiltered opinions and public jabs, 50 Cent shared a meme of himself from the show “Entourage”, laughing as he drives away.
The caption read: "Ok, I don’t know what’s going on but are we gonna still have the Super Bowl [worried face emoji]. I’m just asking for a friend!"
While his post maintained a sarcastic tone, it came amid the announcement of his upcoming Netflix documentary, “Diddy Do It?”, which explores various allegations against Sean Combs.
Meanwhile, Jay-Z has released a rare public statement to address the allegations. Labelling the claims “heinous”, he challenged the lawyer behind the suit, Tony Buzbee, to file criminal charges instead of a civil suit.
"Whomever would commit such a crime against a minor should be locked away. These alleged victims deserve real justice if that were the case," a part of his statement read.
The “99 Problems” rapper didn’t hold back, accusing Buzbee of exploiting the case for personal gain and emphasising his Brooklyn upbringing, where “strict codes and honour” are upheld.
He expressed heartbreak over the impact the accusations could have on his family, especially his children.
The allegations come during a tense time in Hollywood, where accountability and justice for past misconduct have become a hot topic.
Meanwhile, fans are divided. Some are waiting for more evidence before drawing conclusions, while others are questioning the culture of power and privilege in the industry.
