American beauty influencer and Youtuber, Jackie Aina is facing online criticism for an eight minutes video which she posted on TikTok where she explained that she will not tolerate bullies and she blocked people, who were her fans in the past for a reason.

She added that the very same fans are age shaming her by calling her an aunty.

In the video, the 40-year-old shared her opinion on a discourse that is currently happening about her that she is on a blocking spree and she has a victim mentality mindset.

“A couple of months ago, you all dragged me for filth, accusing me of blocking people because they were congratulating me. Basically I was accused of going on a mass blocking spree,” she said.

This comes after the Youtuber with over 3 million subscribers got married and when people were congratulating her in the comment section, she would block them.

According to her fanbase, in the past the content creator would tell people to call her “aunty” however things took a wild turn after she would now block people for calling her “aunty”.

In the video Jackie Aina expressed why she does not want to be called aunty.

“Now I know a lot of people really don’t understand. Like if you’ve never been adultified as a young girl or parentified really young, you are not gonna get why I really have visceral reactions to showing up online as everybody’s mom and auntie,” she said.

She further added that a certain group of content creators were age-shaming her.

Many social media users have come out about this and spoke on this matter, with one particular social media user and content creator, Jamilla Bell standing out.

Bell, who was defending Jackie Aina and also was her fan, took to Tiktok on August 13 to express her thoughts on the blocking spree that the influencer was on.

“Now you all know Jackie Aina is a strict b*** and she runs a tight ship. She is no nonsense. So I know you all are not getting up on here saying s*** like ‘oh finally she got married,

“Girl, you know she's going to block you quicker than you can get a candle from her new line. Jackie does not play with you all,” she said in the video.

The matter has re-gained attention again after Jackie Aina’s recent video and people took to X to share their thoughts on the matter.

X user @keatingssixth wrote: “My thing is Jackie at the end said ‘I just wanna be left alone’ but unprovoked made that video, with terrible context, doing the same thing she claimed Jamila and them was doing… No one was even talking about Jackie.”

Another X user @brenda_joi said, “Ngl (Not gonna lie), that Jackie Aina video left a bad taste in my mouth. Even more so after looking at the comments. She’s even liking comments about them ‘lacking intelligence’ and agreeing that they are bullies. Then she said they should ‘make mukbangs or something’ instead.”

Jamila Bell made a Youtube video responding to Jackie Aina’s video and said that the narrative that Jackie Aina was blocking people is not a narrative that she created.

She further clarified that she was just joining in on the conversation just like everyone else and she also got blocked.
